Tomatoes are in season here in Sydney and I have more than 1 kg of tomato in my veggie box, so I decided to make some pasta.⁠

I slow cooked lots of garlic in olive oil to infuse the garlic flavour and added chopped tomato afterwards. Next, add some Chinese broccoli and chilli topped with home made basil and coriander pasta. ⁠

I'm trying to avoid gluten as much as possible so I used some gluten-free pasta. Always great to have seasonal veggies – cheaper and contain more nutrition!🤩🤩⁠

Nimono (simmered dishes) were made two days ago, and pickles were made over a week ago. In Japan, we cook dishes in bulk and eat a bit throughout the week. I only cook fresh rice and miso soup but still I won’t eat like this.⁠

Even though its mostly cooked in advance, it still takes time to prepare a traditional Japanese meal, but it’s my time investment for my health and happiness!😁 ⁠

I had a kilogram of flat mushrooms that need to be consumed quickly, but I have 20mins to spare to prepare the meal…solution?  I put mushroom, cabbage, carrot and red lentil in a pressure cooker and cooked it for 8 minutes. Because of the mushroom, the dish turned black, but the taste was so good!!🤩🤩 I served it with quinoa + white rice and green salad.⁠

✔︎PS: I added Indian curry powder and a little bit of Japanese curry roux (naughty! It does contain MSG and lots of fat… ) next day and enjoy it as a curry (it still looked black) on the next day to change the flavour a little bit.⁠

Cold soba noodles are always perfect for a hot summers day, so here's an easy, healthy and quick vegan lunch that you can make in just 10 minutes! ⁠

Traditional cold soba is called “ zaru soba", which is basically just carbs, so it's not as healthy.🙅🏻‍♀️ So I made a healthier version - Soba salad packed with veggies, protein and fermented foods!😋😋⁠

I used 100% organic buckwheat soba from @spiralfoods – which means this is gluten-free and contains more nutrition! (do you know regular soba only contains 20-30% buckwheat and the rest is just refined flour?) ⁠

I mixed some soba, shredded ice burg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, edamame and homemade vegan mentsuyu (dipping sauce for noodle), and topped it with alfalfa and natto (fermented soybeans) ⁠
