The more time we are spending at home, the more we need to remember to take care of ourselves and our loved ones! Don’t forget to keep your body alkalized, especially with the upcoming flu season! And speaking of the alkaline diet, I would like to talk about the drink every mum MUST-HAVE this Mother’s Day!
I believe being a Mother is one of the hardest jobs on Earth, don’t you agree? They deserve the best of the best for their health for all the hard work they do for us. And MATCHA GREEN TEA is one way we can look after our mum!
There are numbers of reasons why Matcha Green Tea is definitely a must-have drink for Mums, including:
1. We need to stay away from coronavirus!
Mums (and all of us) DON’T want to catch the coronavirus or see it spread in our family. We are all wishing this virus will end soon. As I shared in a pervious blog, Matcha is amazing for fighting against coronavirus in many ways.
We know based on research that catechin in Matcha can improve the cell’s ability to protect itself against the coronavirus (check HERE for more details) and now Zinc is used to treat coronavirus and matcha can make a great contribution to zinc absorption (check HERE for more detail). Viruses are Ph sensitive and matcha is the only caffeinated drink that helps us maintain healthy Ph levels (alkalising)!
2. Energise!
Mums are always busy, often looking after kids as well as working. To be able to handle so many tasks, they definitely need ENERGY!
The fabulous news is that Matcha gives you long-lasting energy. matcha provides a sustainable energy boost without the rapid 30-minute spike, slump, and jitters associated with coffee! Plus coffee is very acidic while Matcha is alkalising. Matcha green tea has been my energy drink and can’t live without it!
3. Keeps Us Calm
During the pandemic, we tend to feel even more stressed so we need stay calm and feel relaxed more than ever.
Matcha is rich in Theanine, which is known for its ability to increase alpha waves in the brain that promote calmness. This is key to giving matcha users a “zen” state. All Mums need a little bit of a “zen” moment in between looking after kids and other work.
4. Keep’s us Young and Fabulous!
Mums are not just super busy women. I believe that all women have the desire to feel beautiful, look younger and of course, want to be healthy!
In taking care of Mum’s beauty and health, antioxidants in Matcha can be an amazing friend!
Antioxidants are the body’s defence agents. They are chemical compounds that prevent ageing and chronic diseases. Basically, the more you have, the better equipped your body is in the fight against ageing and disease
The fabulous news is matcha contains one of the highest amounts of antioxidants among foods.
5. Strong bone!
Strong bones are essentially important for Mums, as they need to carry heavy bags and heavy kids! And you know what, Matcha is rich in vitamin K!
Vitamin K is an essential nutrient that works with calcium to build strong bones.
People who have higher blood levels of vitamin K have higher bone density, while at the opposite end of the spectrum people with low levels of vitamin K are more likely to have osteoporosis.
6. Stay Slim
Drinking matcha helps us burn 25% more calories if you take it before and/or after you exercise! It truly is a superfood! Along with keeping ourselves looking young, I think most of us also want to stay fit and slim. Mother’s are often putting others before themselves, neglecting their own personal health, but matcha puts you first!
7. Clarity of Mind
As Mums are juggling many tasks on a daily basis, they need to stay focused to get things done. That’s exactly when Matcha can help! Matcha naturally helps you stay focused.
Theanine in Matcha creates alpha waves, which lead to a state of relaxed alertness. And while Theanine is common in all tea, matcha may contain up to five times more of this amino acid than common black and green teas.
As an additional benefit, Theanine may help improve your memory and learning ability while inhibiting any possible side-effects that caffeine, a natural component of green tea, may carry.
Overall, Matcha has SO many more benefits that I could go on for days, e.g. it lowers cholesterol, lowers blood pressure and is good if you are diabetic!
Just remember, not all matcha is the same!
Only real matcha (yes, there is fake matcha available everywhere!) that is treated by real craftsmen offers the best health and beauty benefits and best flavour.
So make sure you buy good quality matcha!
I myself used to struggle to find the best matcha and had to use bad or so-so quality matcha until I found the one I drink now. This product I have total confidence with!
I am so proud of the organic matcha and I’d love to share with all of you!
So, to our dear lovely Mums, are you ready for matcha green tea? Or to our kind gentlemen, are you ready to gift this Japanese elixir to the women of your life?
I hope you are inspired to have, or to try (if you haven’t before) some matcha soon!
Stay healthy and strong,
Yoshiko xx
