This restaurant is one of my favourite vegan dining place in Brisbane!
It is not vegan restaurant but the chef’s skills are amazing and they have so many vegan dishes and it was hard to choose what to order
Hand made dumplings and quality vegan foods -which are exactly what I want!
Well, I am a serious dumpling lover so I must order them, there were two types of vegan dumplings to choose from but we decided to order the vegetable dumplings
Steamed Veggie Dumpling – $13
These dumpling had a mushroom, cabbage, water chestnut and carrot filling. They were so fresh and yummy. For my hubby sauce was bit too sour, but for me, it was perfect!
Full of flavour, just love them!
Spring onion pancake $9 our most favourite dish!
We were about to order Crispy tofu since we want to avoid gluten but the waitress recommended this and we did listen, and we are super glad that we ordered it!
Again, super fresh and yummy! Flaky slightly sweet pancake with shallot and mushroom glaze is just divine! It was so hard not to order second pancake! Highly recommend to order this no matter what!
There are quite a few vegan main dishes but we ordered XO Cauliflower because I just love umami rich XO sauce!
XO Cauliflower – $18
It is a big portion and it was yummy and flavourful but I think it is perfect to have as a side dish when you eat meat or fish meal. As a vegan main, it is a bit too healthy for me or it would perfect to eat with the shallot pancake. Need something a bit unhealthy to eat with.
Another main, we ordered was the Beans and Magic Tofu.
We used to order beans and pork mince in Chinese restaurant but this is vegan version of it. I don’t mind, there is a bit more tofu mince for this dish but still very yummy!
Beans & Magic Tofu- $22
Great thing about this restaurant is there are quite a few vegan dishes, high quality meal and no fake meat. Even when I asked chilli, I got really nice home made chilli!
So yummy home made chilli
It was bit too healthy for my hubby but you can order better way, you know, maybe one main veggie dish and order more deep fried food like crispy tofu and spring roll, fried rice instead of steam rice.
If we ordered that way, I am sure my hubby would be super happy!
We went to King tea before visiting Mt Coot-Tha. I would not say it is very close but it is the same direction from CBD
Pic of beautiful view of Mt Coot-Tha
I highly recommend to give this restaurant a try!
