How to make Tuna using tofu!

Copycat Tuna

When I did this recipe in my cooking class, people were very surprised that tofu can taste like tuna. The key is to freeze the tofu and defrost it to give texture. 

Recipe

Ingredients

Serves 4 

  • 750g frozen firm tofu, defrost 
  • 200ml soymilk 
  • 2 TBSP olive oil / neutral oil 
  • 1 TBSP lemon juice 
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 TBSP soy sauce or tamari 

 

Method 

  1. Defrost the tofu.  
  2. Break the tofu into small pieces. 
  3. Put all seasonings in a pot and add the tofu and cook until all the liquid is gone. 
  4. Eat with salad
