Having vegan degustation is definitely one of the thing that I love!
However, its quite unfortunate that I (and all of us) have not been able to eat out in the past months due to the COVID pandemic, but as the restrictions are easing we are more free to dine outside our house here in Sydney….. which means the opportunity to enjoy fancy vegan degustation!
Here is my throw back memory for last year’s at my husband’s company Christmas lunch.
I am the only one who ordered vegan degustation – dear meat eaters, they look great too!
Otto is famous for having vegan menu. I have been there to eat 3 course meal around three years ago but this is my first time for degustation.
Here is the menu~
What I loved about it is that I had a few “ surprise dishes”. I don’t know if it always happens or because I am eating with non -vegan degustation people but it was nice…
First dish –Beetroot one – pretty and fabulous, definitely this dish is worth coming to the restaurant as I won’t able to cook it at home
Second:
Third:
Pasta
Not so happy with risotto as main.. while other are eating wagyu stake…..
Lemon sorbet for a palette cleanser – not on the menu
Dessert was my most favourite – even non vegans are jealous of my dessert and they said they prefer mine!
Such a sophisticated dessert!
Lots of non vegan restaurants that offer vegan degustation tend to do just sorbet for desserts … not interesting at all! But this dessert was absolutely gorgeous!
Just hoping that they don’t offer pasta and risotto for main – maybe one is enough
We also received a little box – non vegans – chocolate truffles , mine the vegan, orange jelly – it was nice! – also not on the menu
As we are able to eat outside the house and dine in the restaurant again or celebrate Christmas in July I highly recommend you give OTTO a visit one day. And while you’re out, please Stay Safe!
