Matcha Chia Seed Pudding

The superpower of chia seeds and matcha combine to make an extra super breakfast! This can be a breakfast, satisfy your sweet craving or even your pre-workout in the afternoon. It gives you super energy and keeps you alert.

Great way to wake yourself up and power charge in the morning or burn more calories + gives a protein kick before your exercise. Whenever you eat, it will be perfect except just before going to bed…

Matcha – abundant with powerful EGCG

This recipe has been perfectly designed to help you maximise the power of matcha. Most of the amazing health benefits of matcha come from Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) which is a catechin that promotes the production of T-cells. This in turn has amazing benefits for your body such as reducing inflammation, aiding weight loss and helping to fight against various diseases and infections. Recent studies even show that this may be able to help with protection against COVID-19 (click HERE to learn more).

People like to say ‘we are what we eat’ however, I believe we are what we absorb because often people are not able to properly absorb the nutrients, like EGCG, from their food. That’s why this recipe is so great. It contains Vitamin C, Omega 3 and protein, all of which help your body absorb EGCG and allow you to get the most out of your matcha.

The recipe that helps you absorb the best parts of matcha!

Recipe

Serves 2

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (62.5ml/2fl oz, 45g/1.5ozchia seeds
  • 1 cup (250ml/8.5fl ozsoy milk
  • 1.5 tsp Green tea powder (or 1 cup (250ml/8.5fl oz) of green tea milk)

Method

  1. Dissolve green tea powder with a small amount of soy milk first, then add the rest of soy milk.
  2. Mix chia seeds and green tea milk in a glass jar/bowl/plastic container and soak overnight in the fridge. Make sure to cover.
  3. Serve with your favourite fruits or sweet azuki beans.

Memo:

You can make it into your plastic container and bring it to the office! It can be super handy breaky! When you put azuki beans on top, it will be an even more substantial meal.

I also like to mix oats and chia seeds together to make overnight chia and oats pudding.
