Maple and Coconut Konnyaku
It’s a tasty, go-to snack when you want something quick and sweet; perfect when you’re on a diet. All you need is three minutes. Konnyaku is a traditional Japanese jelly-like food that is great for detoxifying your body and helps with weight loss by making you feel full even though the Konnyaku itself is low in calories. It is especially great after over-eating as it can slow down stomach emptying and the absorption of sugar.
In other words, this is a tasty, guilt-free desert to help you get your dream summer body. Even if you are not trying to lose weight, Konnyaku is great for your overall gut health. On top of that, this recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free and incredibly easy to make which means it is perfect for anybody.

Serves 1
- Konnyaku
- Maple syrup
- Desiccated coconut
Method
- If you are using the Japanese konnyaku you need to cook for 2 minutes in boiling water, if not then you just need to rinse.
- Slice the konnyaku into strips then toss through desiccated coconut
- coat with maple syrup.
