'Gudakusan' translated to 'lots of ingredients' - Yep, I put lots of ingredients in my miso soup, especially Japanese root veggies. ⁠
⁠
Unfortunately I can't get fresh Japanese root veggies (sometimes I can, but they're extremely expensive!) so I used frozen ones – Lotus root, Satoimo (taro) and Burdock. ⁠
⁠
Plus aguraage (frozen again), konnyaku aka konjac, carrot and shallot. All are dietary fiber-rich ingredients to help maintain your gut health.🤩⁠
⁠
I also used miso, the fermented soybean paste for three dishes - ⁠
Miso soup, miso marinade daikon radish and spicy miso stir fry beans.⁠
⁠
I've also got some natto, the fermented soybeans seasoned with fermented rice salt. (Yep, more fermented foods!😄)⁠

Here are photos of my first hair cut in my 50s! I do find that I have some grey hairs but not so much that I need to dye my whole hair 💇⁠ ⁠

My hairdresser recently praised me for having a double halo which only happens with natural healthy hair (he told me artificial treatment like silicon only gives a single halo effect). I believe my daily matcha consumption and good diet contributes a lot to this 💚 ⁠

If you say this is your medicine, would you or your kids be excited? 🤔 Well, I would be because even as a “medicine” it is so yummy and nourishing! ⁠
⁠
Why? Because it is made of two Japanese superfoods – amazake and kuzu (aka. kudzu, 葛) ⁠
⁠
👉 Amazake is typically fermented white rice (but I use the organic brown rice amazake, which is even healthier option at home as well as in my cooking classes). It is naturally sweet because of the natural sugar found in rice is broken down during fermentation process. 🌱⁠
⁠
This fabulous sweet treasure is called a natural IV drip because you can be nourished instantly, and Japanese call it Samurai’s red bull because the samurai used to lose their appetite during sticky the hot summer, but after having amazake, they would gain energy. 🔥 ⁠
⁠
👉 I used kuzu to thicken the mixture. Kuzu is another Japanese superfood, which is still used as medicine in Japan and China. Kuzu is made from kuzu root, which is the healthiest startch on earth! Kuzu is the only starch which is alkalizing, this makes it fabulous for fevers as well as a stomach upset! ⁠

On top of that, I put beautiful vitamin C rich kiwi sauce – it wasn't heated so no vitamin C was lost. ⁠
