Do you know Iodine deficiency is very common and cause weight gain problem?
Today, I would like to talk about iodine deficiency. Sadly, up to a third of people worldwide are at risk of an iodine deficiency
It’s quite high isn’t it?!
WHAT’S IODINE?
It’s a natural element that’s required to regulate metabolism.
We need many substances for health, and none do more for us than iodine. Traditionally sourced from the sea, iodine is required by the body for a number of functions.
In Australia and New Zealand, natural iodine levels are very low in the soils where vegetables, grains and graze livestock are grown. That is why Iodine deficiency is common in Australia. More than 50% of children and pregnant or breastfeeding women living in Australia have been shown to be iodine deficient, and are at risk of developing thyroid disease. Same goes to people in South Asia, South East Asia and European countries. Here are 10 signs of iodine deficiency
EAT IODINE RICH FOOD!
So we really need to make sure to consume iodine rich foods!
You might say…
I use Iodised salt??
You mean chemical white table salt supplemented with iodine? It’s not natural! We want to have REAL natural salt that is rich in minerals and alkaline rather than chemical, don’t we? Moreover, real natural salt is much tastier, don’t you think? how about oysters? do you eat oyster every day???? mmmm….
SOLUTION ——SEAWEEDS ARE RICH IN IODINE
Seaweeds are the most common naturally occurring iodine-rich foods. The iodine content of seaweeds is incomparable with vegetables. The available amounts of iodine in seaweeds may vary depending on the variety, season, and the area of production. Brown seaweeds have been recognised as the best source of iodine and one of which is wakame!
HOW TO EAT WAKAME EFFECTIVELY FOR MAXIMUM ABSORPTION OF IODINE AND YOUR WEIGHT LOSS !!
