Each mushroom contains so many wonderful nutrients and vitamins. This includes

Why is it important for your heart health?
- Eritadenine is an important compound found in shiitake which helps with the body’s ability to process cholesterol in the liver and helps to lower the levels in the body. Consequently it supports the body’s overall cardiovascular health and additionally has antiviral properties.
- Dietary fibre also helps the body to process cholesterol. Studies have shown that consuming 90g of fresh shiitake a day for just one week you can lower cholesterol by 6 to 12% (in young people) and 7 to 15% (in the elderly).
