Yoshiko is an expert teacher of healthy vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free cooking as well as both traditional and modern Japanese cooking.
Originally from Japan, Yoshiko has been sharing her knowledge of cooking and the food industry for nearly 20 years in both Japan and Australia. She first came to Australia to meet the world famous chef Tetsuya Wakuda when she was 25, and then worked in his restaurant in the following year of 1999.
Previously, she worked as a chef for over ten years in an eclectic range of restaurants – Japanese, Italian, Indian, Modern Australian, African, Greek, even a healthy catering company – as well as in one of Sydney’s world famous eateries. She also completed a degree in nutrition at a college in Sydney.

Her unique healthy cooking has been featured in several TV programs such as “The Biggest Loser,” as well as national and local newspapers and magazines. She is also the international author of Cooking with Soy and Japanese Superfoods.
Yoshiko has a life-long passion for food and health. She strongly believes that we really are what we eat and loves sharing her knowledge about health, cooking techniques and recipes with others in as many ways as possible.
